Dr. Ana Velastegui is a second-generation dentist with a lifelong passion for creating healthy smiles. Born in Ecuador, she moved to New York with her family at the age of 12. She attended CUNY Queens College, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and a Master’s in Molecular Biology, graduating in 2017.
In 2018, Dr. Velastegui moved to Buffalo, NY, to pursue her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine, graduating in 2022. Afterward, she returned to Queens, NY, to give back to the community where she was raised and completed her General Practice Residency (GPR) at Flushing Hospital Medical Center in 2023.
In addition to her ongoing education, Dr. Velastegui is actively involved in the dental community. She is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Queens County Dental Society, and the American Dental Association. Her active participation in these organizations underscores her dedication to providing exceptional care and contributing to the advancement of the dental profession.
